Distilled
water, Sugar, Hairspray
In the production of glass has a lot of sugar
observed: Instructions for sugar glass can be found on many Websites, often
the conditions of water and sugar do not agree: It should be better to use
less water, because the sugar itself contains quite a lot of water.
1: Fill the sugar in a saucepan. For a large slice (25”x25”) 1kg
sugar should be optimal.
2. The heater should be on maximum performance when you fill the distilled
water in the saucepan. There should be just enough water that it is hard to
stir the masses. If you use to less water the glass won’t dry.
3. If the fluid is clear, it can be filled in a form. After that, the
hairspray can be sprayed on the warm glass. The glass is more stable and won’t
break so easily with hairspray.
4. If the glass hasn’t dried after 15min, something went wrong. Maybe
it was not heated strong enough.
Happy testing!

PS.: Beware with a ceramic box, the sugar burns
in, when he reached the hob!
